"Felt misled by the event"
I went to one of their events and left disappointed. The schedule wasn’t clear at all, and it felt like the staff didn’t really know what was going on either. A lot of the activities seemed thrown together last minute, which was frustrating because the event was made to sound a lot more organized than it actually was. For what I paid, it just didn’t feel worth it...

"The signs were actually helpful, and I..."
The signs were actually helpful, and I did learn a bit while walking around. Some of the maps were kind of confusing though, so I had to stop and figure things out a few times. I didn’t bother asking customer service because I never really trust them to give a straight answer anyway.

"Too packed to really relax"
I went on a weekend hoping for a quiet nature break, but wow, it was crowded everywhere. The trails were loud, people kept stopping in the middle of the paths for photos, and it felt more stressful than peaceful. I was ready for a calm, recharge kind of day, but it just didn’t have that vibe at all.
"Pretty easy visit overall"
Had a really good visit, parking wasn’t neeeearly as annoying as I expected. I found a spot fast, though a few areas were a little confusing to follow. Still, it was waaay easier than I thought it would be.

"I checked arboretum.org before walking around, and most..."
I checked arboretum.org before walking around, and most of the plant labels lined up with what I was seeing in person. A few of the signs seemed a little older, or like they maybe hadn’t caught up with newer names yet, but it wasn’t a big deal. It was still really helpful for figuring out trees I’d always been curious about. There’s just something about it that makes the visit more interesting when you can actually put names to what you’re looking at. Would’ve been 5 stars if all the labels were updated a bit more often

"Fun tour, but blink and you might miss it"
Our guide was super knowledgeable and kept things really fun the whole time. I learned a lot and enjoyed it, but wow, the tour felt a bit rushed at points, we were practically speed-walking through history. Still a good experience overall...
"Smooth booking with just a tiny delay"
I bought tickets through arboretum.org and the whole process was straightforward. I liked that the available time slots were laid out clearly, so it was easy to pick the exact entry time that worked for us. Checkout was quick too, with no confusing extra steps. The only small thing was that the confirmation email took a few minutes to show up, so I got a little nervous at first, but it did come through. Overall, I’d definitely use it again

"Older facilities and not the easiest to get to"
The place felt dated overall, and getting in and around wasn’t very convenient. It just seemed like the facilities could use some updating, and the access situation made the whole visit a bit more frustrating than it needed to be...

"Had to Figure Everything Out Myself"
No one helped me out at all. I kept trying to get some assistance, but it felt like way more effort than it should’ve been just to get a simple answer. Frustrating experience.

"It’s a spot, no doubt, but it didn’t..."
It’s a spot, no doubt, but it didn’t work that well for us with small kids. They got bored quick, and some of the paths were kind of a pain with the stroller. Like, you can manage, but it’s not super smooth in places. Also didn’t feel like there was much setup or help for families, so overall it was just okay for us

"Unclear hours made for a wasted trip"
I was frustrated by this. I checked arboretum.org before heading out, but still ended up arriving when it was closed. The hours and closure information just isn’t clear enough and seems way too easy to miss. It felt unfair to make the drive for nothing when better communication could’ve prevented it. They have a responsibility to keep that info obvious and up to date so visitors don’t waste their time...

"Not great if you're going for photos"
I went mainly hoping to take some nice photos, but the whole experience ended up being frustrating. The rules around photography felt strict and kind of confusing. One person told me one thing, then someone else told me something different, so I felt like I was getting passed around without a clear answer on where or what I was allowed to shoot. It is a place, but if photography is the main reason you're visiting, I wouldn’t say it’s worth it. The policy really takes away from the experience.

"Confusing signs and a lot of wasted time"
I ended up getting lost twice, and the signs and maps just made things more confusing. I kept stopping to figure out where I was supposed to go, which was really frustrating because it felt like I spent more time waiting around and backtracking than actually getting anywhere.

"Nice walk, but the food was just alright"
I visited the arboretum and really enjoyed walking around, but the food and drink options were just kind of okay. It felt like the menu was there for convenience more than anything else.
They had coffee, some snacks, and a few simple lunch items, but nothing really stood out. The prices seemed a little high for what you got, though not outrageous. I wonder if they keep it simple because most people probably don’t come there expecting a full meal, but that’s just my guess.
I’d definitely like to see a few fresher options, or at least clearer signs showing where to grab drinks. Overall, it wasn’t bad at all, just average compared to the rest of the visit.

"Gift shop didn’t have as much as I hoped"
The place itself was really nice, but the gift shop felt a bit limited to me. Compared to other gardens or nature spots I’ve visited, I was expecting more plant books, seeds, or locally made items. Instead, it was mostly small souvenirs with not a ton to choose from. Still enjoyed the visit overall, just wouldn’t make a point to stop in the shop next time.
"Food rules caught us off guard"
We went with the kids and had packed lunch like we usually do for a day out, but then found out outside food wasn’t really allowed. Maybe I missed that info somewhere, I’m not sure, but it kind of threw off the whole visit. We ended up leaving earlier than planned, which was frustrating. Just didn’t feel super family-friendly for us.

"Cool history, but I wanted a bit more"
I went to check out the old landmarks and historic exhibits, and it was a interesting place to walk around. Some of the history is really cool, but a few of the signs felt too brief, and I found myself getting a little impatient wanting more details. Still, it was worth the visit.

"I went in expecting a quiet little..."
I went in expecting a quiet little walk, but the peacocks were kind of everywhere. Maybe it was just the time I went or something else going on, I’m not sure, but they were really loud and kept hanging around the paths. A few seemed a bit too comfortable getting close to people, which made it awkward to pass. I usually like seeing wildlife, but this felt like no one was really managing it. There were droppings on some of the benches too, which didn’t help. Staff were around, but they didn’t seem too concerned when people were trying to get by. Just wasn’t the relaxing visit I thought it would be

"Nice, clean spot for a relaxed walk"
I stopped by the arboretum last weekend and had a nice time. The paths were clean, and I barely noticed any trash around, which is always a plus with outdoor places. Most of the grounds seemed well cared for, the plant labels were easy enough to follow, and the benches were in decent condition. A couple areas were a little overgrown, but not in a way that really bothered me. The bathrooms could probably use a bit more attention when it gets busy, but they were still okay. Overall, it’s a lovely, clean place to wander around for a while, not perfect, but definitely worth a visit.

"The benefits just felt kind of pointless to..."
The benefits just felt kind of pointless to me. Then the renewal reminder showed up and somehow made things even more confusing?! I ended up feeling like it really wasn’t worth renewing.
